Call for Papers

AESLA 2018 invites scholars to submit their papers, posters, and round table proposals in any of the two official languages of the conference: Spanish or English. Submissions may be related to the conference main theme or fall within the scope of any of the following thematic panels:

  •     Language acquisition
  •     Language teaching
  •     Language for specific purposes
  •     Language psychology, child language and psycholinguistics
  •     Sociolinguistics
  •     Pragmatics
  •     Discourse analysis
  •     Corpus linguistics, computational linguistics and linguistic engineering
  •     Lexicology and lexicography
  •     Translation and interpreting


Papers (oral presentations) will be delivered in 20 minutes’ sessions, followed by 10 minutes’ discussion and debate.
The round tables will be allotted 90 minutes, with 75 minutes’ presentation plus 15 minutes’ discussion and debate.The posters will be presented in a common location for a period of time that will be specified in the conference’s final programme. Poster size will be announced in due course.

The working languages for AESLA 2018 are Spanish and English.
